Clean, renewable geothermal energy is a reliable power source, leaves a small footprint, can adapt to small and large scale installations and has over 100 GW of potential supply in the US alone. However, a high price tag, limited geographical locations that actually can supply geothermal energy and the fear of potential earthquakes from required drilling have dampened this renewable energy movement in the past. But how have new technological advancements in this power source help kickstart a revival and reintroduce geothermal to the renewable energy discussion currently dominated by solar and wind?
