Projecting Energy and Climate for the 21st Century

Dr. Sergey Paltsev, Deputy Director, MIT Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change, explains how energy and climate projections over the 21st century show that the aim of the Paris Agreement to limit warming to well below 2°C implies a transition to an energy system over the next 50 years with radically lower carbon dioxide emissions and a radically different fuel mix than currently in use.
