In response to Putin's war disrupting global energy supplies, strategic petroleum reserve drawdowns kept markets stable. Collaborating closely with the team, DOE has accelerated replenishment, secured over 30 million barrels in repurchases, and maintained 140 million barrels by halting mandated sales. By year-end, the SPR will be nearly restored to pre-disruption levels.
