Since its formation as a unified state in 1971, the United Arab Emirates has been on a continuous path of development and diversification. Its early economic roots in pearl fishing gave way to a dominant petroleum industry, a pioneering role in the global LNG trade, and now a transition to world-leader in renewable energy and nuclear power. Guiding this transformation have been the country’s government-led investment vehicles as stewards its national vision.
